Description
The Suffolk Resolves House was the home of Daniel Vose and his family and on September 4,1774 the Suffolk Resolves, a predecessor to the Declaration of Independence, was signed here. The Resolves was then carried by Paul Revere to the First Continental Congress in Philadelphia.
The original location of the building was on Adams St in Milton but was threatened to be demolished so in 1950 Dr and Mrs James Ayer moved it to its current location at 1380 Canton Ave in Milton. The building is currently the headquarters for the Milton Historical Society and is open for tours numerous times a year.
