Peggotty Beach is a popular beach near Scituate harbor and is famous for its houses on the water supported by still or "pegs".
The beach is notorious for taken the brunt of New England storms in the winter and often floods. Local news stations often sends reporters to do live reports on the conditions of storm from Peggoty and over the years a number of the houses that one the beach have succumbed to such storms and never been replaced.
About Brian MacLean
Brian MacLean is the father of two children. He is a local Massachusetts photographer who discovered his passion for photography 20 years ago after using his brothers camera. Brian enjoys shooting nature and landscape. He tries to capture the raw reality of nature, the fleeting beauty of those in-between moments, and try's to do his very best to take every picture with that in mind. He wants his viewers to relate to his photographs through recognition of and familiarity with the places, the emotions, and the energy as they are looking at a picture of a place that they may know.
